This is a 1957 Fender Studio Deluxe Lap Steel Guitar, 6 string. It is in excellent condition and appears to be all original with the exception of 3 screws below the nut. This is one of the rare 1957 - 58 models numbered with the leading dash ( - ) in the serial number. The potetiometer was also dated to 1955. It comes with the original 3 legs and the original case, also in excellent condition and all in working order.

This instrument was owned by one gentleman and played for many years. There is slight wear on the metal fingerboard in places, noticeibly on the 1st fret and frets 24 thru 27. One leg has mild pitting, the other two legs are in excellent condition and all 3 rubber feet are in good shape. The case has some staining inside where the legs are stored but otherwise is in excellent shape. Click on the video file to hear the instrument.
